2014 Farm Share Fair

Looking for a CSA in the Boston area? You can’t do better than the Farm Share Fair, being held this year at Cambridge College on Thursday, March 20 after work (5:30 to 8:30 pm).

What’s a Farm Share? A Farm Share is a weekly distribution of products during the growing season.  A Farm Share box is also referred to as a CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Customers pay money up front at the beginning of the season, and then get a box of goods throughout the season.  The box is delivered weekly to a convenient pickup location in your area. At the Farm Share Fair, you can compare the programs yourself and decide which farm you’d like to buy from. Some farms offer veggies, some offer a combo of fruit and veggies, some offer flowers, meat, eggs, cheese, and other items. Farm Share Fair organizers will be offering fun prizes for anyone who signs up for a CSA that night!

The 2014 Farm Share Fair will feature over 20 Massachusetts-based farms. Customers are welcome to get to know all the farmers, learn about the types of products they offer, and select a program that meets their needs. The Farm Share Fair is free and open to the public! Follow them on Facebook and Twitter for more information.
